Frequently asked
- How does the fake follower checker work?
- It uses a transparent heuristic: it compares an account’s engagement rate against the typical range for its follower tier, and looks at follow ratios. Accounts with lots of followers but very low engagement often have inflated or inactive audiences.
- Can it prove an account bought followers?
- No — and no free tool can. We can only see public numbers, not an account’s actual follower list. Treat the score as one signal to investigate further, not proof. A low score warrants a closer look; it isn’t an accusation.
- Why does authenticity matter for brand deals?
- If you’re a brand paying for reach, inflated followers mean you’re paying for an audience that isn’t really there. If you’re a creator, a clean profile helps you stand out. Either way, pair it with the brand’s reliability record before committing.
